Lari visits Libraries in Leith

It’s National Libraries Day on Saturday 9th February.  Libraries across Edinburgh will be marking the day with a series of special events.

Lari Don

We’re very excited that not only has Lari Don, a children’s writer based in Edinburgh, agreed to be part of National Libraries Day, she’s actually visiting TWO libraries in Leith! And she’ll be talking about her series ‘First Aid for Fairies and other Fabled Beasts’.

First Aid for Fairies series

We’re going to have a bit of a party here with Lari. She’s going to read some of her books, chat about writing adventures, then exercise everyone’s imagination, tell one of the legends which inspire her, and end with some questions (if there’s time!). Then we’ll do some craft inspired by Lari’s books, and of course have some refreshments.

It’ll be a really fun event for 8-12 year olds, and all you need to do is contact the library to book a FREE place.

1-2.30pm McDonald Road Library –  0131 529 5636
3-4.30pm Leith Library  – 0131 529 5517

Lari will also be visiting Portobello Library in the morning – contact the library to get further details.
